I am currently sitting atop Germany's tallest mountain, the Zugspitze. (Thank you)....Oh I thought I heard someone say gesundheit.
At 9717 feet, the Zugspitze towers over the surrounding area. I think the mountain in the background from my Pulitzer Prize winning "Chippen and Putten" post is the Zugspitze(pronounced Zoogs-Spits-uh....I think)
I'm having Currywurst for the first time thanks to a great suggestion from a recently retired Athletics Secretary.
Yes, the weather for a view from the top of terrible today for a view, but I don't care. The ride up in the cable car was breathtaking and very smooth. I'm planning on taking the cog wheel train back down.
Plus, the music selection up here is Johnny Cash heavy which is a huge plus.
On to Munich shortly!
Welcome
Formerly titled "The Traveling Job Coach" and then "The Traveling Athletic Director," this blog is
for me and my memory because it's not very good.
My memory is not very good. See what I mean?
This blog has also morphed into a place for me to share my thoughts on life and how I see the world.
These thoughts often bubble to the surface during my travels.
I don't concern myself with grammar. This is simply a place for me to record my memories,
thoughts and feelings while I travel.
I started this blog before my trip to Europe July 10-24, 2009. Email me at brosefield@gmail.com
whilst I'm traveling or comment on posts here if you see something that
strikes your fancy.
Yes, I used the words whilst and fancy in the same paragraph.
So glad you got to do the Zugspitze! Even with clouds it’ breath taking View! Is there snow up there still?
