(Yet another post I'm writing on the flight to Zurich)
Quick, in the United States how many bodily functions do we have to pay for? Here are a few we can discuss:
Eating - usually yes, unless you hang around the front office during and around Densie's birthday. (Not a typo. You had to be there. Sorry.)
Breathing - not that I'm aware of unless I'm going through surgery. Thanks Dr. Plymale for fixing up my knee! So far, so good over here for me!
Using the Bathroom - No. the closest I've been to being charged to use the restroom is by tipping the bathroom attendant at the Charlotte Airport. Which, to be truthful, that still weirds me out a little.
Well, let me tell you, Eastern Europe has a monopoly on charging for the bathroom. Unless you want to risk using a shrub, you will more than likely have to pay to use the restroom. Here's a rundown of what I paid in Krakow to use the restroom:
MDA bus station - 2.50 PLN
Auschwitz - 2 PLN
In Prague, I was the asked if I was going #1 or #2 as, yes, there is a price difference. I chose the discounted rate of 10 instead of 20.
Yet again, something that is fascinating to me because it truly so different. At first, I was thinking, "You really have to be kidding me about this."
After a while it just became second nature....nothing a good "almost pun" to end a post.
Welcome
Formerly titled "The Traveling Job Coach" and then "The Traveling Athletic Director," this blog is
for me and my memory because it's not very good.
My memory is not very good. See what I mean?
This blog has also morphed into a place for me to share my thoughts on life and how I see the world.
These thoughts often bubble to the surface during my travels.
I don't concern myself with grammar. This is simply a place for me to record my memories,
thoughts and feelings while I travel.
I started this blog before my trip to Europe July 10-24, 2009. Email me at brosefield@gmail.com
whilst I'm traveling or comment on posts here if you see something that
strikes your fancy.
Yes, I used the words whilst and fancy in the same paragraph.
