Welcome

Formerly titled "The Traveling Job Coach" and then "The Traveling Athletic Director," this blog is
for me and my memory because it's not very good.
My memory is not very good. See what I mean?

This blog has also morphed into a place for me to share my thoughts on life and how I see the world.
These thoughts often bubble to the surface during my travels.

I don't concern myself with grammar. This is simply a place for me to record my memories,
thoughts and feelings while I travel.

I started this blog before my trip to Europe July 10-24, 2009. Email me at brosefield@gmail.com
whilst I'm traveling or comment on posts here if you see something that
strikes your fancy.

Yes, I used the words whilst and fancy in the same paragraph.

Walking the City

To me, there is no better way to see a city than to walk it.  Now, Tokyo is not fully able to be walked as it is enormous.  But I did take the 3.2 mile trip to Senso-Ji by foot.

The highlight of the trip was lunch.  The owner of the lunch spot was fantastic to me.  There was zero English in the restaurant and he treated me with the utmost of care and warmth and ordered a plate of vegetables, chicken, egg and noodles.  And, it was delicious.

Tokyo Square Garden near Ginza (it may be in Ginza for all I know) is super nice offering tons of restaurants one floor below street level.

The clear umbrella was a great decision in hindsight.  I was able to see the city while walking. And yes.  It’s been rainy since I’ve arrived and I think it’s going to continue.  No worries though. It actually has been more of s misty rain than anything.
