Welcome

Formerly titled "The Traveling Job Coach" and then "The Traveling Athletic Director," this blog is
for me and my memory because it's not very good.
My memory is not very good. See what I mean?

This blog has also morphed into a place for me to share my thoughts on life and how I see the world.
These thoughts often bubble to the surface during my travels.

I don't concern myself with grammar. This is simply a place for me to record my memories,
thoughts and feelings while I travel.

I started this blog before my trip to Europe July 10-24, 2009. Email me at brosefield@gmail.com
whilst I'm traveling or comment on posts here if you see something that
strikes your fancy.

Yes, I used the words whilst and fancy in the same paragraph.

Roomies

So I'm taking a nap at the Hostel in Doolin.....aptly named Doolin
Hostel and I'm awakened by two burley fellows walking into the room.
So I figure, this is my first chance to meet some locals or at least
some other Europeans. They're talking to each other kind of funny in
what seems to be some kind of broken English. I roll over and introduce
myself. Turns out they're from Wisconsin(explains the broken English part right Chap?). A father and a son
travelling Ireland for the father's birthday. The son plays pro
football in Europe and the dad is a teacher for going on 30 years in
WI. I'm going to meet them at McDermott's in a few to watch the big
Hurling match. Come on down if you catch a break. Oh, you don't know what hurling is? What kind of a person are you???

  1. BOLD PREDICTION--Rose, you will end up meeting more Americans than Europeans on your excursion.
