Welcome

Formerly titled "The Traveling Job Coach" and then "The Traveling Athletic Director," this blog is
for me and my memory because it's not very good.
My memory is not very good. See what I mean?

This blog has also morphed into a place for me to share my thoughts on life and how I see the world.
These thoughts often bubble to the surface during my travels.

I don't concern myself with grammar. This is simply a place for me to record my memories,
thoughts and feelings while I travel.

I started this blog before my trip to Europe July 10-24, 2009. Email me at brosefield@gmail.com
whilst I'm traveling or comment on posts here if you see something that
strikes your fancy.

Yes, I used the words whilst and fancy in the same paragraph.

Breakfast of Champions

David cooked up a great biscuit for breakfast this morning and had it
waiting on me as I was hurredly trying to get to the bus stop for my
trek to Tralee. Good thing I hurried. Oh wait. No. I've been
sitting here waiting for a while. Relax, it's ok. I know you want to
make a phone call to the powers that be at Bus Eireann on my behalf
but sitting here has given me a chance to catch up on this.

The weather is perfect this morning. Quite breezy and probably in the
sixties and clear. Smells of salt air.

Last night was great. Watched my first hurling match even though
County Clare lost(yeah instead of Clare County) it was cool to see.
Hurling's a sport where the players dot get paid and they play for
their county. It's Huge with a capital h.....you know what i mean.

After the match we were treated to some traditional live Irish music.
Some of the more talented musicians I've seen in a long time. And
music here was not an afterthought. It was the focus of everyone in
the place. Quite a switch from the States.

After my almost first full day in Ireland I can say that the people
here are worth the trip. They really are as gracious and kind as
there reputation suggests.
