Parking In Japan


If you haven’t realized this about me by now:  I’m fascinated by little things.

So, the fact that this post is going to be about parking in Japan comes as no surprise to me. 

Some vehicles here are REALLY small.  So are some streets.  But not all vehicles are small.  I did see a Toyota FJ Cruiser yesterday and there was something the size of a Highlander too.  Full sized sedans are here as well.  

But parking.  Wow.  Some of the working jobs that Japanese people pull off are incredible.  

I’m also fascinated by these vertical parking decks wherein it seems that someone drives in and after giving their keys to the attendant, has their car lifted onto a shelf made for a car.  Some of these shelves are open air.  Some are in enclosed towers.

And wow.  Some of the parking jobs that people make happen at their homes are incredible.
