12 Hours

The flight from Detroit to Tokyo is almost over.  And you know, it hasn’t been that bad.  I was really worried about how I would deal with it, and also how my lower back would deal with it.  However, I followed the example of the gentleman to my left and placed the small pillow behind my back for most of the flight.  That made all the difference in the world.

Let me be clear:  I’m exhausted.  And I’m going to do my best to start up for the next 8 hours at least.  That would mean I would have been awake for 27 hours minus about a 25 minute nap on the flight.  We’ll see if that happens.

Photos:
The facial recognition they used to board us to Tokyo.  My hairline has now been viewed by japan government officials.
The slippers that Delta offered for the flight.  Clutch.
Landing card.  No.  I left my sword at home
Detroit airport which is super nice.  Reminds me of Indy

  1. Airports all have a common hum and the labyrinth to be navigated!
