Puns are fun. However, I had a hard time coming up with a good owl pun. If you have one, leave a reply or shoot me an email. I’m curious.
Walking through Kyoto yesterday was perfect. I was reminded that I absolutely love just walking a city. I don’t have to be doing anything. Just walking. Seeing what life is like. Nodding to the old lady that was just swaying in the drizzling rain and having her warmly nod back. You know, the basics.
I did come across the Nishiki Market which was cool. Touristy. But cool. And near that market I found the Owl Forest Zoo. When I first read the sign, I thought, “No way they just have owls hanging out. And no way they let me pet the owls.” Yes way. And yes way.
Wow. This was so much fun. And I never would have seen it had I not just been out walking. That’s one of the things I enjoy about the way I travel.
Here are some pics:
Welcome
Formerly titled "The Traveling Job Coach" and then "The Traveling Athletic Director," this blog is
for me and my memory because it's not very good.
My memory is not very good. See what I mean?
This blog has also morphed into a place for me to share my thoughts on life and how I see the world.
These thoughts often bubble to the surface during my travels.
I don't concern myself with grammar. This is simply a place for me to record my memories,
thoughts and feelings while I travel.
I started this blog before my trip to Europe July 10-24, 2009. Email me at brosefield@gmail.com
whilst I'm traveling or comment on posts here if you see something that
strikes your fancy.
Yes, I used the words whilst and fancy in the same paragraph.
Owl zoo, so cool!
