Welcome

Formerly titled "The Traveling Job Coach" and then "The Traveling Athletic Director," this blog is
for me and my memory because it's not very good.
My memory is not very good. See what I mean?

This blog has also morphed into a place for me to share my thoughts on life and how I see the world.
These thoughts often bubble to the surface during my travels.

I don't concern myself with grammar. This is simply a place for me to record my memories,
thoughts and feelings while I travel.

I started this blog before my trip to Europe July 10-24, 2009. Email me at brosefield@gmail.com
whilst I'm traveling or comment on posts here if you see something that
strikes your fancy.

Yes, I used the words whilst and fancy in the same paragraph.

A Day of Firsts

So today has seen a few firsts for me in travel.

Our flight got delayed out of Charlotte for a couple of reasons. Care to guess why we were delayed? Guess. Seriously. Ok no. You're wrong. The first reason we were delayed was an incomplete log book. Nothing does more for my confidence that an incomplete log book for a several thousand pound machine that hurtles through the air.

Ok there's another reason we were delayed. I defy you to guess the reason for that delay. Go ahead. Guess. Nope. Nope. BINGO! You guessed it: a gentleman "got sick" on the airplane. Now, when you hear "get sick," what do you think? He got a fever? No. He got a cough? No. He had a hay fever attack? No again. He threw up on the plane. "Got sick" sounds so much better than puking doesn't it? So we had to wait until that mess was cleaned up, and then we had to wait for the "soiled seat"(actual verbiage used on the airplane) to be replaced.

And the last first was my first tweet at an organization’s twitter account.  Unfortunately no response from American Airlines on that one. But my Wrestling coach was there to save the day!  (Blazer Force One ✈️)

And now we are underway with a little bit of a diversion to London on our way to Barcelona!
